Now that I have my Perseus working well with the Mestor scheduler, I have been using them to revisit the tropical bands. During the past week I have been doing twilight recordings of the 120 m and 90 m bands because the 1,600 kHz span lets me capture both at the same time.
The only frequencies on which I found audio were:
2500 kHz
2850
3185
3195
3215
3250
3330
3480
For the first few days I used my ALA-100 loop oriented WNW-ESE. Then I switched to the NNW-SSE ALA-1530 loop. Both produced similar results so the log for this week shows WWV, WWVH, Pyongyang (three frequencies), Voice of the People (South Korea), WWRB, WWCR, and CHU.
I plan to spend next week examining the 75 m and 60 m bands.
