Quiet Day Yesterday

Ever since getting a Tecsun PL-380 in December, I have been using its digital signal strength feature to measure the noise levels on a standard set of frequencies. Yesterday, at Cattle Point, I found the quietest conditions ever for any of the locations I have tried in the Victoria area. The numbers were almost as low as the best ones I found along the shores of Craig Bay, near Parksville. Since yesterday was NJanuary 1st, one might speculate that a large fraction of the population left their consumer electronic devices turned off when they went outdoors to start on their New Year's resolutions to get more exercise. Once I clear a backlog of data entry, I will try to post my accumulated results on a separate page.
